Before you order
Can you modify plans purchased from another website or designer?
Yes — provided you own the plan or have permission / the right to modify it. Most online plan stores sell a reproducible or CAD license that permits changes. You confirm this when you order, and we may ask for your license if the plan is copyrighted by another designer.
Which package do I need?
Minor is for changes inside the existing footprint and roof (walls, windows, doors, room sizes). Standard is for changes that affect the garage, bedrooms, foundation or exterior. Major is for additions, basements, second floors and conversions. Not sure? Pick the closest one — we confirm your scope within 1 business day before any work starts.
What if my changes need a bigger package?
We tell you before we start. You can upgrade by paying only the difference, trim the list to fit your package, or get a full refund. You never pay for work you didn’t approve.
What do I get back?
Updated PDF drawings of every sheet affected by your changes — floor plans, and elevations, roof and foundation where they change. Add CAD/DWG files if your builder or engineer needs editable files.
How many revisions are included?
Two revision rounds based on the agreed modification scope. Additional changes outside the scope are quoted separately.
Are the modified plans permit-ready?
We deliver permit-ready drawings. Some jurisdictions also require a local engineer’s or architect’s stamp — if yours does, your local professional stamps our drawings. See do house plans need an architect stamp?
Can you turn my modified plan into a full construction set?
Yes. If you only have a basic floor plan, we can develop it into a complete construction drawing set — foundation, framing, sections, details, electrical and schedules. Add it after your modification or ask for a combined quote.
What files can I upload?
PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP — up to 8 files, 25 MB each. A clear phone photo of a printed plan or a hand sketch works too. Have DWG files? Upload a PDF and reply to your confirmation email with the DWG.
