At CostToBuildHouse.com, operated by Equin Global LLC, we stand behind the quality and accuracy of every report we deliver. Our estimates are built on RSMeans 2026 data, state-adjusted cost indices, and 16,400+ comparable build records. We want every customer to feel confident in their purchase.
Digital Product Policy
Our construction cost reports are digital products delivered instantly upon payment confirmation. Because the full report content is made available immediately after purchase, we are generally unable to offer refunds once the report has been accessed or downloaded.
This policy is consistent with standard practices for digital goods and is disclosed prior to purchase on our checkout page.
When We Will Issue a Refund
We will issue a full refund in the following situations:
- Technical failure: You completed payment but did not receive access to your report due to a technical error on our platform.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same report.
- Report could not be generated: Our system was unable to produce a valid report for your inputs (e.g., invalid zip code not resolved).
- Charge not authorized: If you believe a purchase was made without your authorization, contact us immediately.
Situations We Do Not Refund
- You changed your mind after accessing the report.
- Your actual contractor quotes differ from our estimates (estimates are projections, not guarantees).
- You entered incorrect inputs (square footage, zip code, finish level) and received a valid report based on those inputs.
- You purchased the report and later decided not to build.
If you entered incorrect information, contact us — we may be able to re-generate your report with corrected inputs as a one-time courtesy.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@costtobuildhouse.com with:
- Your full name and email address used at checkout
- Your order or transaction ID (found in your Stripe receipt email)
- A brief description of the issue
We will review and respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Most issues can be resolved quickly, and we take customer satisfaction seriously. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in your email address being flagged and future purchases declined.
